A new airline, Southern Star, has begun operation in South S
udan. The airline has taken delivery of its first aircraft, a Bombardier Dash 8 leased from ALS of Kenya on a long term lease.
The new airline is planning to also receive a leased 50 seat Embraer 145 aircraft from ALS in the future to expand the new airline’s route network to the wider region.
