On October 10th, 2012, Garuda Indonesia took delivery of the airline’s first CRJ1000 aircraft. The first aircraft is registered as PK-GRA, MSN 19025, and is the 25th CRJ1000 built.
The airline plans to base the aircraft at Makassar, on the island of Sulawesi and will be operating the aircraft on routes to Ternate, Lombok, Kendari and Surabaya.
The airline is expecting delivery of two more CRJ1000s by the end of October 2012, one in November and two in December.
Garuda Indonesia has 18 CRJ1000s on order, with options for 18 further aircraft.
