On October 10th, 2012, Embraer delivered the 900th E-Jet built, an Embraer 190, to Kenya Airways.
Kenya Airways’ Embraer 190s are configured in a dual-class layout with 96 seats, 12 in business class and 84 in economy. The airline currently operates five Embraer 170s and seven Embraer 190s. The airline has seven more Embraer 190 aircraft on order with one delivery each month until February 2013. The aircraft are operated from Kenya Airways’ Nairobi hub.
E-Jets are in service with more than 60 airlines in 40 countries.
