On October 23rd, 2012, Embraer announced that for the third quarter of 2012 it made a profit of $65.4 million.
This is in comparison to the third quarter of 2011 where the company suffered a marginal loss. Net revenue in the third quarter rose 25.7% from a year earlier.
Embraer delivered 46 aircraft during the third-quarter, including 28 commercial aircraft and 18 executive aircraft.
The company indicated that at the end of the third quarter, it had a firm order backlog of 178 aircraft, which consisted of 10 Embraer 170s, 31 Embraer 175s, 102 Embraer 190s, and 35 Embraer 195s.
Embraer ended the third quarter with an order backlog valued at $12.4 billion, down from $16 billion in the third quarter of 2011, and slightly below the $12.9 billion reported in the second-quarter of 2012.
