Nok Air converts two options on Q400 NextGens

Nok Air LogoOn March 31, 2014, Bombardier announced that Nok Air converted two Q400 options to firm orders. The airline reserved these options November 19, 2013 when the airline ordered two Q400 aircraft and four options. Nok Air is the launch customer for the new extra capacity seating option of the Q400 NextGen which allows for up to 86 passengers. Both of the converted option aircraft will be built to the increased passenger capacity option.

Including Nok Air’s order, Bombardier has recorded firm orders for a total of 493 Q400 and Q400 NextGen aircraft.

Adria Airways orders two CRJ900 NextGens

Adria Airways CRJ900 NextGenOn March 27th, 2014,  Bombardier announced that Adria Airways signed a firm purchase agreement for two CRJ900 NextGens. Adria Airways has been a Bombardier customer since March 1997. The airline currently operates four CRJ200s, two CRJ900s and two CRJ900 NextGens.

Including Adria Airways’ order, Bombardier has firm orders for 1,814 CRJ Series aircraft, including 341 CRJ900s and CRJ900 NextGens. Worldwide, CRJs are in service with more than 60 airlines and more than 30 customers operate corporate variants of the aircraft. CRJs operate in over 50 countries on six continents. On average a CRJ takes off every 10 seconds somewhere in the world. CRJ Series aircraft have carried more than 1.4 billion passengers and have logged more than 38 million flight hours and over 32 million takeoffs and landings.

Bombardier signs deal for one CRJ700 with Undisclosed Customer

CRJ700 PrototypeOn March 27th, 2014, Bombardier announced that an unnamed customer from Latin America signed a firm purchase agreement for one CRJ700 NextGen aircraft for use in special mission applications. Details of the services and modification work were not disclosed.

Worldwide, CRJ series aircraft are in service with more than 60 airlines and more than 30 customers operate corporate variants of the aircraft. WestJet Purchases Five Q400 NextGens

WestJet DHC-8On March 27th, 2014, Bombardier announced that WestJet Encore signed an agreement to purchase five Q400 NextGen airliners. The order is a conversion of five of 25 outstanding options that the airline holds for Q400 aircraft.

Including WestJet’s order, Bombardier has recorded firm orders for a total of 491 Q400 and Q400 NextGen aircraft. Worldwide, Q400 and Q400 NextGen aircraft have carried more than 295 million passengers and have over 4.7 million flight hours and more than 5 million take-offs and landings.
